OUR COMPANY

Mutant Fingers is a cocktail of passions: Passion for climbing, for love and good wood working. One does not go without the others for our project. Climbing led us to find a noble material, with a connection to nature, to start a project that is already a reality, and that allows us to transfer all the knowledge of our team about training and improvement in any sport that needs to enhance the strength of arms and hands.
The cocktail of Mutant Fingers team — coaches, boulderers, climbers, nutritionists, crossfitters, streetworkers and of course woodwork craftsmen — has managed to create our functional and quality final products.

Wood is a natural product offered to us by the Earth and to which we owe the greatest respect. It is our raw material and with which we achieve products with quality finishes, different in weights and textures. The wood is composed mainly of cellulose, in addition to lignin, a polymer that provides hardness and protection, as well as hemicellulose, responsible for joining the fibers. Natural elements that make our final product do not contain artificial material. The key of a training or warm-up hangboard is the structure of the wood and the final finish. At Mutant fingers we test everything before we put it on the market: training sessions and different athletes of various levels. In this way, we test how the wood behaves when exposed to use, magnesium or even body sweat. The key for our fine products is to get to know the most suitable raw material to use. Depending on which wood is used — beech, pine, iroko or birch — we will obtain different types of porosity, lightness or hardness, which will affect the final finish and the priority of use. In short, wood offers the possibility of providing higher quality training, extending the training sessions compared to traditional multi-holds.
